Our Core Mission
To put it simply: when it comes to people we want to:
Love them, Mend them, Train them and Send them!
The core business of the church is people and we have three “people focused” objectives:
1. Good news! Jesus loves people and He came to seek and to save the lost. We have the same mission to reach out in love and make Him known to others by evangelizing.
2. Jesus told us to make disciples, people who obey His Word and follow Him with all their hearts. Disciples are not perfect but are devoted followers who grow and go!
3. Worship is the heart of loving and following Jesus and we are serious about cultivating contagious intimacy with God. The overflow of a genuine worship connection with God is a passion for others to know and experience Him.
Our Core Values and Practices
How do we do church?
We start with some key values and practices and then set out to learn how to live them out. This creates a kingdom culture where God is welcomed to reign. We are becoming a community of people who are learning to love, accept and forgive. We seek to put Jesus first and to honor one another as a family of believers who are growing in grace. We also take seriously the promise of Jesus that we will do the works that He did and even greater works because He has gone to the Father! (see John 14:6)
Life-Giving
Living things should grow and reproduce. This simple principle applies to healthy life at every level. We are growing as a life-giving church that cares for people, families, communities and even nations. Whether it involves rebuilding broken lives, caring for the young, visiting the elderly, sending a missionary, helping a family in need or having a birthday party, we seek to let the life of Jesus overflow from us to others. This is what it means to be a life-giving church and to bear good fruit that will multiply and reproduce.
